28 weeks

Another week has come and gone. Each week seems to go by faster than the one before. I spent most of the week on shoots and editing. Busy bee, that's me! But, it feels sooo good to be productive!
In my last post I had thought I deleted the photos of the crib but then I found them! Yay! So, below are a couple of pics of Josh putting together the crib. Next on the agenda is to order his bedding. I feel like I need to be doing more to prepare but I just don't know what to do! lol.
THis past Tuesday was our anniversary and it was a good one! I woke up to my hubby giving me a card. Then, later on I found a card in the fridge and then in the car. When I came home from a shoot, there sat a beautiful bouquet of flowers! The card was my favorite part. It read.... "Happy Anniversary to my best friend, partner in crime, co-parent and love of my life! Your not so secret admirer" This just about made me cry when I read it! But then again, just about anything makes me cry these days!haha. We then went to dinner and he gave me another card. We enjoyed yummy steaks at Connors and then we drove around til we found something sweet to top off the night. It was a very nice night.
Yesterday, we had a fabulous wedding! It was one of those weddings where everything just came together. However, my body is not holding up like I had hoped it would. About an hour before the ceremony my back and feet were on fire! But all I could do was to keep moving so I would feel the pain as much. When I woke up in the middle of the night to use the restroom I thought Iwas going to have to wake Josh up to help me get there. I honestly could not walk. I spent all morning lying in bed trying to rest. I guess I am just going to take it a bit easier and not push myself beyond my breaking point.
Well. I get to see my son in 2 days!!!!!! I thought it would take forever for 3 weeks to get here but they have flown by. I was telling Josh earlier today that sometimes I forget that Kai is in my tummy. I know that I am pregnant but it's so hard to connect that there is an actual baby in there. I never thought my own child would be such a mystery. But in a good way! I am so anxious to see if he cooperates and let's us take a peek at his tiny little face. As I'm sitting here with the laptop in mu lap, I can see my tummy moving up and down from him moving and for me to get to see who is actually doing that is uh-mazing! So, the next time I post, I will be posting my sweet baby boy's face! (hopefully lol)

27 weeks!

This past week has been a bit of a blur to me. We basically had a shoot everyday this week. I know these next two months are going to fly by. We had a wedding this past Saturday up at the Ledges. I was super excited about this wedding because we love this bride but I wwas a little nervous to see how my body would hold up. By the end of our 13 hour day I was pooped to say the least. lol. Our third shooter was with us which was so helpful! When I would have been running back and forth to get stuff she was there offering. So, THANK YOU MORGAN! I know that I am going to have slow my roll a bit at weddings and understand that I can't be crawling on the floor like I usually am. Sigh.... but I will do what my body allows me to do!
Earlier this week, our crib came in!!!!!! I took pics of it while Josh was putting it together but then I deleted them getting realy for the wedding. lol. So, I will post a pic of the crib next week. I'm also hoping to order the bedding soon as well. Which will be very exciting!
Tomorrow is our 3 year wedding anniversary!!!! So, Happy Anniversary to my bestest friend in the whole world!!!! I love you Joshua!!!!

26 weeks!!!!

26 weeks is here and going by fast! I sat down with my partner Karina today to go over our calender and Oh my holy are we going to be busy little bees! It's so awesome that we have all this work but it scares me that my pregnancy is going to be over in the blink of an eye.
Well, we finally went and registered! Yes, we are finally getting some of our baby ducks in a row! lol. It was a long and grueling process this registering was. No lie. It took us 4 hours (2 stores) and by the end of the night my hips hurt so bad I was in tears. But it's done! For the most part. We have a few more things that we will be adding online. A lot of people register online but I had to be in the store toughing the stuff and trying it out for myself. It's worth it!
This weekend was the last free weekend I had for a long time. SO, we decided to go to B-ham to do a little shopping. I was sooo excited to go to the Summit and the Galleria. But man was I dissapointed! It was complete and utter chaos! THe traffic was horrible and it was sooo busy. I was so upset that the day wasn't going as planned. We did however eat at the Cheesecake Factory which lifted my spirits quite a bit! haha. It was so yummy!!!! Well, I had gone to all the stores I had wanted to go to and was ready to be done when Josh wanted to go to the Bass Pro SHop and that was the least I could do for all the shops he went itno with me. And on the way there we discovered an OUTLET MALL!!!!! It was Uh-Mazing! Clean, new, and not that crowded! \THey had a few baby stores and we bought Kai's some clothes! It was sooo nice to buy him some stuff that wasn't outrageously priced. We bought 4 little onsies, 2 jumpers, a pair of overalls with a onsie, 2 sweaters, and a little sleeper for around $50. We were both impressed!
I suggest to all mothers around the area to take the time to go there and buy your kids clothing!

Here are some pics of the things we bought!

Mr Owl. It was love at first sight and I said he was coming home with me and he did!(he's a cookie jar but he's so stinkin cute) He's the perfect addition for his nursery! I now have a secret obsession with owls!

The little outfits we bought at Carter's and Osh Kosh B'Gosh.

The camel Josh bought for Kaiser when he was in India. Forgot to post this last time.

Newborn diaper that came in our registry bag. It's sooo tiny! Josh kept saying "I can't believe how tiny his butt is going to be!"

Me and my belly at 26 weeks. I cannot believe how big my belly is and how much bigger it's going to get!! Oy! But I'm loving every second of it!

25 weeks!

So, it's been a while since I have blogged but life has been sooo crazy. The past four weeks has been full of photography sessions/meetings and little family functions and recently trying to get things back to normal since the tornadoes.
We actually haven't really done much baby stuff since we found out the sex. I always thought I would go crazy buying things after finding out wha tthe baby was but we have just been so busy that things are starting to creep up on us. Tonight, we plan on registering and I know that will be an adventure. lol. It's one thing to go and look and be like "Aww, that's so cute!" and another to be like "Okay, this will wind up in our house for our child." Everyday, it gets more real.
I have started gaining that lovely baby weight and Josh reassures me everyday just how beautiful I am. ANd then I usually laugh at him and thank him for lying. haha. But it's part of the process and I'm just going with it. I plan on starting a work out routine soon. Nothing big but I heard it's supoose to help with delivery. And I def want all the help I can get!!
I had my appt yesterday which was delayed due to the storms and I was not looking forward to this one. I had to take my glucose test and I did not want to fail. If I failed that meant I had to go take a 3 hr test. Not fun. However, I PASSED!!!! I was soooo happy. My next appt will be in 3 weeks and it will be the 4d ultrasound!!!!!!! I CANOOT wait for this appt. I feel this little baby move everyday and it just makes me wonder whats going on in there. Well, we will get to see! Hopefully, if he decides to cooperate. lol.
I start my wedding marathon not this weekend but next and I won't have a wedding free weekend until July and then it will be filled with other sessions! I will be huge no doubt and miserable I'm sure but it will be the last leg in my pregnancy. I get sad thinking about how fast it's going. I will my belly and those little kicks and rolls provided by Kai. lol. So, I must enjoy every second I can with him in my tummy til he comes. I hope to keep you all updated and I will try my best to post more frequently!
